L'Archipel Sentimental
Designed by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac
Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, a visionary trailblazer, was one step ahead in anticipating what were to become the basics of today's new world of creation: art and fashion, misappropriation and collaboration. His multifaceted work in the field of art, fashion and design, is articulated in a short range of colours: blue, yellow and red. His artwork and designs are infused with a passion for history, for the world of childhood and Pop art.
"The dining table is an ocean of conversation, of emotion, of love and sharing. Each plate is a poem. Timeless blue links the past with this evening. It is like a picture emerging, that might only exist when we are all around the table to gether again. Each guest becomes a piece of mosaic called the 'Sentimental Archipelago', spawned from the magical meeting of two paths, namely my imagination, and the wondrous know-how of the Manufacture de Gien."
